Moving from subfolder

  I am building a WordPress site in a subfolder of my domain to replace the handcrafted html-style site in the root. Once the replacement is complete, how do I move the new WordPress site to the root?

  Yes, it is for a purchased domain on a paid web hosting service. I will go over to wordpress.org.
