Moving from Wix

  I have a website already set up with Wix but have been told I should move to wordpress. What is the best way to do this? Create the website first on here and then transfer domain? Any help would be great thanks.

  It is pretty easy to import your site to WordPress.com with the Wix Importer. Please read the following document for detailed instructions.

  Import from Wix

  As far as the domain is concerned, you can add your existing domain name when you’re ready to take your site live.
  You can either map the domain or transfer it if you would like to manage your site and domain from one place.
