Moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  I have a wordpress.com blog but I want further theme customization with wordpress.org, thus I’ll get hosting service, but I bought a .com domain at wordpress.com, how can I switch the domain to the hosting service?

  The two things are NOT related.

  You need a domain name to host independently, but you need to find a web host and set up with them. Then you can change the nameservers so your custom domain points to the new site.

  Thanks for the answer! It’s still a bit unclear to me though
  what do you mean change the nameservers? basically my question is how do I get the domain to point to the new host.
  I already bought the .com domain over wordpress.com
