Moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org – domain transfer

  Hi WordPress.
  I´m sure you´ve heard it a thousand times, but there are no clear answers on the internet.
  I have signed up with Bluehost as I want to transfer my wordpress.com-blog http://www.fromtenerifewithlove.com to wordpress.org. I have paid Bluehost, verified the account/creditcard and now they need me to unlock the domain from Wild West Domains (which I understand are the ones you signed me up with when I bought the domain via WordPress.com) – as well as getting the EEP authorization code. When I google it, most answers tell me to log in at Wild West Domain and get it there, but I have no username, customer # or password, as I signed up the domain with you. Looking further as well as checking the WordPress Forums I can see that the way to do it is to write directly to you. So here I am :)
  Please help me get the above needed, as I am really excited to get started on WordPress.org.

  P.S.: I can also see that the (only) way to contact Wild West Domains is by calling a US number – as I live in Europe I prefer email, but that seems to not be an option….? (I know it´s not you, but you must have heard it before and might be able to help here…).

  Thanks! Actually I have now come to a point where I have enabled domain locking, enabled private registration and requested the transfer code (all on wp), then got an email from wp with the code which was then accepted by Bluehost. Bluehost then sent me an Admin Contact Verification Code that was also written correctly on their page – and accepted.
  But now it says (on my Bluehost page): “You will need to contact Wild West Domains, Inc., who is the current registrar for the domain and have them approve the transfer. Otherwise the transfer should proceed within 7 days of the transfer purchase. “

  I thought Wild West Domains had been contacted by WordPress when I did all off the above….? On WWD´s webpage you can only contact them by phone, and I would really prefer not to have to call the US from here. So how can i get WWD to approve the transfer? Or will this just happen auromatically if I wait the mentioned 7 days?

  Hi!

  I just approved the transfer from Edit Domain -> Transfer Domain here:

  So, this should be all good to go. Can you let me know if you run into any more roadblocks?
