Moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org: Which Domain name do I tell Bluehost

I understand that if I am going to move to self-hosting, I will need to tell Bluehost the correct name when I register with them. If this is so, then I assume that when Bluehost ask for the correct domain name, I must fill in the reference to the anticipated NEW domain name, rather than the old one I am moving from?

I.e. they want to know I am moving TO http://wallacerunnymede.org, rather than knowing what the original domain name (non-self-hosted) is, right?

Sorry, feels like a silly question, but want to make sure I get this right.

Yes, tell Bluehost the name of the domain your site will be using once it’s set up there.

I noticed you listed two domains in your post. Are you wanting to change from a .com domain to a .org? If so, that’s fine. If you wanted to keep the .com instead, you can transfer it to Bluehost.

You may want to review this guide which gives an overview of the different steps involved in moving to self-hosting: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
