moving from wordpress.org to .com and business theme

I have a wordpress.org blog and want to move it to wordpress.com. I wanted to call because I have a lot of questions but can not find a phone number. If I buy the business upgrade will it allow me the freedom to sell via links from my blog to other websites? Can I use my own broken link page which goes to Compassion Internation sponsor children page? Do I need to I buy mapping for the extra $13 to use my own domain name? Is there an option to have you all move it for me? If so how much does that cost? My reason for moving away from wordpress.org is I am not very techy at all and seem to always be having problems over there you all are easy for people like me moving it all by myself may not work for me and I worry I may mess it all up. The domain I want to move is http://terrisiebert.com/ which by the way is linked with jetpack to my wordpress.com account http://astorybyme.com. Thank you for your help.

can not find a phone number.

There isn’t one. Support is handled through forums, email, and live chat.

If I buy the business upgrade will it allow me the freedom to sell via links from my blog to other websites?

That depends. Sites designed solely for sending traffic to other sites are not allowed. If the selling link is something like an Amazon link from a book review, that’s okay. Here’s more info:

Can I use my own broken link page which goes to Compassion Internation sponsor children page?

    No.

Do I need to I buy mapping for the extra $13 to use my own domain name?

    Yes.

Is there an option to have you all move it for me?

    No.

wow sorry I did not respond sooner, I just now realized that my questions had been answered a long time ago. Those were not the answers I hoped for. I loved using the wordpress.com because it was easy, but thought I would try making money on my blog which is why I moved to .org. It was more trouble than it was worth for someone like me. Can I just somehow direct my my wordpress.org blog to my old wordpress.com blog or even a new one? I do not want to tell my readers that I have moved yet again, somehow would like to move without causing them trouble, I noticed I have lost a lot already with the first switch. Thank you for your help.

You can export your WordPress.org blog and then import the contents into your WordPress.com blog. Here’s the guide for that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/view-all/

Once the import is successful, you’ll want to map terrisiebert.com to your WordPress.com blog. Here’s the guide for that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

I wasn’t sure about moving readers as I’ve only seen them transferred from .com to .org and not the other way around. However, I did find an old forum thread where a staff member did exactly that, so I’ve tagged this thread for their attention.

If you map the same domain you had been using before and if the permalink structure matches the one used by WordPress.com, then the links on the blog itself would still all work.

Your best bet is to do what micawbr recommended and go ahead and try the import/export first to see how it goes and then work from there.

@micawbr, the old forum thread you mentioned is only for moving subscribers who had previously accumulated through a Jetpack site to a WordPress.com site, which may not apply in this case.
