Moving from WordPress.org to WordPress.com

    Hi,

    My wordpress.org website has been recently hacked. I would like to make the move from WordPress.org to WordPress.com with the same custom domain name.

    1. Do I need to pay additionally for the domain name, since the domain name has been paid for a year and I have used it for only 6 odd months?

    2. Does the wordpress account have features like email collection(mailchimp), social sharing, custom menus, etc?

    You will need to purchase domain mapping for you WordPress.com site to use a custom domain which is already registered. You can find out more about that here:

    We do have our own subscription module that allows visitors to subscribe to your site. If you would like to run a newsletter through mailchimp you will need to link to your sign up form on their site as we don’t allow forms to be embedded for security reasons.

    As far as social sharing, we have the Publicize as also found in Jetpack for self-hosted sites:
