moving from yahoo webhosting to wordpress

  hi , I’ve a website , mycommspace.com hosted in yahoo & thinking of moving over to wordpress. i’m currently build it up as mycommspace.wordpress.com in wordpress. when all is ready i would like to change domain name back to mycommspace.com and dump yahoo.
  will it affect my google webmaster setting & need to redo sitemap? need to submit again to search engine after change of domain name etc ?
  any problem you forsee when i do the switch? pls advise.

  You will drop in the search engine rankings whenever you change URLs, but after four months at most you will gain it all back, so don’t let that deter you. Mapping an external domain to a WP.com blog is easy http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
