Moving header image up twenty eleven theme

  I require some assistance as I am using WordPress for mt blog and I am trying to move the header image to the top. I have created a child theme to the twentyeleven theme and cannot find a solution that helps. I have previously deleted the site title space but then this unaligned the description with the search bar.

  I deally I want the image at the top and beneath the description on one line in line with search bar and any white space removed.
