Moving Images & Enlarging Font Seems Impossible.

I am a refugee from Blogger which I think is hopeless.

But there at least I could alter the size of the font. My target audience are the older generations and a size 12 font just does not cut it with lots ot them!

The other big beef is the images. They will not move where I want – tried ticking the little red boxes on edit, but they wont budge. Which means I am now having to adapt text to suit where the pictures are stuck.

As terrible as Blogger is – I have had ANY of these problems with editing. And, whilst on the subject I find it almost impossible to imagine what my post will look like when typing into the small (like one third of the page) Dashboard version of the edit page.

Having to keep stopping to see if it fits and sits where I want in the template is absolutely infuriating !

Yes – I am new. But – YES – have now spent at least THREE HOURS trying to resolve these issues alone.

I ADORE the template, but will someone please please please let me know how to get rid of the cheesy “My Blog – Just Another Blog from WordPress”. It is vomitrocious.

Apart from those minor gripes, so far it is great.

Thanks for hearing me out. Rant over. And thanks for anyone who can help. Blogger help is worse than useless, it took them five days to reply, when they did the guy sent it from a ‘do-not-reply-to-this-address’ email. Inspiring eh ? I swear they are turning into the same ugly Beast ebay became when the first wave of success hit them – heads down and ignore the questions until they go away………..

    Thanks guys

I hope this article will help you to understand the craft of making images behave on WordPress.com:
    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/04/26/images-the-three-link-options/
    or this:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/

You can enlarge your editing window, in the visual editor, just click and drag the striped lower right-hand corner of the box. Or:
dashboard —> settings —> writing —> size of post box —> make it as many lines as you like —> save changes

As for the font size, you can put a note in your sidebar letting readers know that they can use command or control + to make the text and pictures bigger in most browsers.
Or you can alter the size on a post by post basis using html:
    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/
    or:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
    or
Purchase a custom CSS upgrade (if you have experience using CSS—if you don’t know what you are doing, keep in mind that there are very few of us volunteers who know much about CSS) You can experiment with it for free:

Removing “My Blog – Just Another Blog from WordPress”
dashboard —> general —> tagline —> type in what you want it to say —> save
