Moving imported posts

  Hello,

  Can anyone tell me how to move large numbers of posts to new (private) pages?

  I am starting a WordPress blog, and am importing an old blog in Moveable Type which I want to have private access to (put in storage, pretty much, as it was on the other site).

  The importing is working fine, but it’s all going to the main page of my new blog, and I can’t figure out how to move it to hierarchic pages set to private. There are four distinct pages to my old blog, and several hundred posts on each one. A thousand, maybe, total.

  Did you get it to work? I am also trying to move about 100 posts into a blog I have here. I have exported from the other blog and then imported the file into WordPress, it takes several minutes to do and it seems like it is working and then when it is all finished there is nothing imported. I have the exact same number of posts before and after the import.

  I selected my name as the author to import to and nothing.

  I have tried it a couple of times with no success.

  If you did get it to work I would be interested in hearing.
