Moving mapped domain from one wordpress blog to another

  I am trying to map a domain name to a new wordpress blog, but it is already mapped to another one of my wordpress blogs. I’m trying to figure out how to delete the domain mapping to my current blog, so I can map it to my new blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I would like to remove the domain: teresagoodin.org.nz from my wordpress site: teresagoodin.wordpress.com so that I can add it to my new wordpress site: teresagoodincommunity.wordpress.com

  I have found the option to transfer the domain under My upgrades but when I try to transfer the domain to another wordpress site it says “Transfer Failed”.

  Hi Teresa,

  Right now, you have two different custom domains mapped to your sites:

  1. The domain teresagoodin.co.nz is mapped to your site teresagoodin.wordpress.com
  2. The domain teresagoodin.org.nz is mapped to your site teresagoodincommunity.wordpress.com

  You mentioned that you’d like the domain teresagoodin.org.nz mapped to your new site teresagoodincommunity.wordpress.com, which is how it’s currently set up. Is everything set up the way you want it now?

  I have regiested a new domain name and how do I get the DNS record inorder to redirect my wordpress post to the new domain name?
