Moving menu item from main menu to submenu
-
I am new to using WordPress but managed to add a page to existing website created by someone else. The page I added shows up on the main menu. I want to move it to an existing submenu but have not been able to figure out how to do it.

I forgot to say that I work on an iPad, sot the instructions that say to “drag and drop” to move a menu item don’t work.

If you can’t drag and drop a menu item to change it into a submenu item, as described in the Reorder menu items support page, then you may change a menu item into a submenu item as described and illustrated in the Create drop-down menus support page. If necessary, you may then remove the menu item that was automatically created when the new page was added. See the Delete a menu item support page.
These instructions are only relevant if the site is displaying a custom menu.

I should have said, “If you can’t drag and drop a menu item to change it into a submenu item, as described in the Reorder menu items support page, then you may
change a menu item intocreate a submenu item as described and illustrated in the Create drop-down menus support page.” -
Thanks for your help!!” This must not be a custom menu, but your answer nonetheless got me headed in the right direction, and I was able to figure it out!
