Moving My Blog over
-
I am in my final stage of moving my blog from blogger to WordPress. I believe that I need my File Transfer protocol wordpress login credentials. I am under the understanding that these credentials were sent to me a long time ago when I set up my email, but I have long since lost that email. How can I get these credentials now so that I complete this transfer?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
Welcome :)
We don’t allow FTP access to our servers at WordPress.com, but we do have a simple guide to move your site from Blogger to WordPress.com!
Here it is:
Move through those steps, and should you need a hand, just drop me a line and tell me where you’re getting stuck.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

I need to “upload” a file onto word press.
How do I log on to wordpress through an FTP program?

Hi again,
As I said, there is no FTP access to WordPress.com.
You can import an XML file to your WordPress.com site using these instructions:

Hi apologies, to clarify. i need to import the wpb_blogger.php file to redirect selected blog to select blog per instructions listed on the wordpress guidance website.
This is the guidance:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress-without-losing-google-rankings/It asks:
“Save your changes and upload this file to your WordPress theme directory using an FTP client. Once you have uploaded the file to your theme directory go to your WordPress admin area and create a new page in WordPress. In the title field for this page enter blogger. Under the Page Attributes section choose WPBeginner Blogger as template and click on the Publish button. “What is the hostname and credential information i need to log-on to wordpress with using an FTP client?
Thank you again,

Hello again,
Are you moving your site to WordPress.com? If so, you CANNOT move your content via FTP. You can only do that with an import as I mentioned.
The quote you gave me is meant for WordPress.org sites — this means they are hosted on other servers. These are NOT applicable instructions for sites being moved to WordPress.com. If you are looking for instructions about how to achieve certain goals at WordPress.com, you must find them here:
To move your site from a WordPress.org site to WordPress.com, please follow the steps in this guide:
