Moving my domain from 123reg to wordpress?

  Hi this is my domain name for 123reg and and I want to use it on here?
  Can you help?

  Hi slhprojectsonline,

  There are two ways an existing domain can be used on slhprojects.wordpress.com:

  1. Domain mapping: where the domain will remain registered with 123-reg and renewed through them each year (in addition to the plan you have on WordPress.com).
  2. Transfer to WordPress.com: where the domain will be transferred here and renewed through us each year.

  Both options would require a paid plan and transferring the domain will be a better option if you would like to manage that and the site through one account.

  Do I need to have a paid plan with wordpress? at the moment I’ve got a FREE Domain with wordpress but I paid for a Domain with 123reg and want to use that on my wordpress website.

  Yes, if you want to add a custom domain and hide the free address (slhprojects.wordpress.com).

  Custom domains are only available through paid plans and we offer the mapping option for people who don’t want to transfer the domain itself, just connect it to their site on WordPress.com.

  Thanks for getting back to me,

  I have paid for a domain with 123reg which is slhprojectsonline.com and also paid for a business hosting on 123reg too but I can’t seem to find how to get the App on 123reg for wordpress, but it has only been 2-3 hours since I made the domain and hosting. Would all this matter?

  How do I set up the wordpress app 123reg so I can merge the 2 together? If that is all I need to complete.

  You can download the WordPress App from cPanel of your hosting provider. Then this site will be a self-hosted WordPress site.

  You can contact your hosting provider support to know more about their cPanel.

  This forum provides assistance to the only site hosted on WordPress.com.
