moving my domain to a new account

  HI. I established a site http://www.duramaterbirthandbody.wordpress.com on behalf of a friend. I was helping her build her website. I’ve barely done any work on it.
  She now has her own wordpress account and I want to either
  a) delete the site and start a new one in her account under the same domain name
  or
  b) transfer the website to her account.
  Are either of these possible?

  If I delete the domain under my account, does it then become available to the public again and I can just register it again under my friends account?

  Don’t delete the site as then that address will be gone forever. Just transfer it to your friends WordPress.com account.
