Moving my dot com

  Hi everyone,

  I have the website builder/templates with Godaddy and am finding it difficult to work with has it does not come with drop down menus ( to list a selection of varieties for my products). I have also had a lot of trouble trying to set up my shopping cart and linking my store to the website and actually I did not know that I had both, all I wanted was a site that I can put info on and sell from.I have not done any html for years so I need templates but they haven’t got what I want. I was told that I could get templates with drop down menus and add a simple shopping cart to wordpress however once I started googling for shopping carts all of a sudden I had multiple choices? I just want a cart! Also, my contract with Godaddy is almost over, how do I go about finding out whether WordPress have what I need ie shopping cart and drop down menus and how much that will cost? Can I just move my .com? All I can see are the basic website costs, no extras.

  Hey @moonlightlotus,

  From my understanding, it sounds like you’re looking for ecommerce functionality that WordPress doesn’t provide with out the help of plugins.

  It may be helpful to peruse the WordPress plugin directory at the link below. There should be something there that fits your needs.

  Ok, nevermind, I just don’t get how to move all my things from Godaddy, how much it will end up costing me and how to organise it all.When I signed with Godaddy I phoned them, told them what I needed, they explained, it was easy.Thinking I need to just persevere with their stupid templates and carts lol, thank you for your help anyway. I just don’t understand any of it.
