Moving my followers & subscribers to self-hosted

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi WordPress,

I have just transferred from WordPress.com to self-hosted. Could someone at WordPress help me transfer my followers, email subscribers and stats, to my new self-hosted site please?

I need to transfer from commspeak.wordpress.com to http://www.diaryofacommunicator.com

    Any help is gratefully appreciated.

    Regards,
    David

    Hello there,
Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and posted the relevant URL(s) into a support forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond.

    Thanks, that’s reassuring.

Yes, I’ve installed & activated Jetplug plugin, and the relevant URLs are above. I’m also subscribed to this thread.

Assuming this was the right area to post this query, hopefully WordPress staff will see and pick this up?

Your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers have been transferred as requested.

Please note that any WordPress.com followers who opted to receive email updates will need to re-subscribe again on your new site through the Jetpack signup box, otherwise they’ll only see new posts in their Reader. Non-WordPress.com email subscribers will continue to get email updates.

You might think about setting up a Site Redirect for your WordPress.com site at commspeak.wordpress.com to send your site visitors to your new domain. Otherwise, people will still be able to subscribe on your old site.

I have also merged your site stats for you as requested.
