Moving my site from Shopify to WP

    Hi – I own a domain – http://www.humanreset.com – that is currently a Shopify store. I’d like to create a new website through WP, with the same domain name. I’m aware that I can’t have 2 sites with same domain name. But can I build out my new WP site, then when it’s almost done, import my product stuff into WP/Woo and move the domain name over? I’m trying to avoid a several week period when the site would be down while I’m building the new site.

    Hi there,

    Yes that is not an issue. If you wish you can get your replacement site all set up here (including moving your products from Shopify to WooCommerce) using the “staging address” we assign. When you are ready you can move your domain over as the last step, and that will “launch” the WordPress.com site and replace your current site seamlessly.
