Moving my stats and followers to new web host

  I want to move my wordpress.com blog to another web host but use wordpress.org. I don’t know how to go about moving my followers and stats. I can’t add the plug-in jetpack to my current wordpress.com blog. I was wondering if I can get some assistance with this.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Happy to move your stats for you. However first, we’ll need to get the self-hosted site setup. We have some instructions on getting started here:

  Have you looked over those?

  It looks like you have a domain, fridaynightstyle.com, at WordPress.com. There are two ways you can use that with your self-hosted site:

  1. You can transfer the domain to a new registrar so your hosting and domain registration can be managed in the same place:

     http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

  2. You can elect to keep the domain at WordPress.com and just change the name servers to point the domain to your new host:

     http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

  With the first option, you’ll just need to remember to renew your domain each year at WordPress.com or set it up on auto renewal.

  Once you have your new self-hosted site setup, you can install the Jetpack plugin following the instructions here:

  http://jetpack.me/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/

  Finally, once Jetpack is installed, you can transfer your followers with the instructions here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

  Once that’s all done, I can move your stats over.
