Moving my subscribers to my hosted blog
-
Hi there,
I recently moved my dearsusans.wordpress.com blog to dearsusan.net and none of the new posts have received any comments, likes or views. I later learned that the subscribers didn’t follow in the export / reimport process so followed the instructions presented in
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/
and am now contacting you so you can transfer my subscribers, as indicated on that page.
Many thanks,
PascalThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can help you with that. However, I am not seeing that you have dearsusan.net connected via Jetpack. You will need to do that in order for me to be able to migrate your followers.

Thank you for getting that set up.
I have migrated your subscribers and followers to your new site.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thank you.
There are 2 more things :
* Before migrating the blog I had anywhere between 300 and 5000 visits a day. Now Jetpack indicates a few dozens !!!!!!!!!! What can I do about that? The switch was meant to increase followers, not cut trafic by 10.
* Do I need to leave jetpack activated now that the subscribers and followers have been migrated ? -
You do need to leave Jetpack activated as that’s what powers the email updates to subscribers.
In terms of traffic, there are quite a few reasons it could drop (or climb) after transferring. Have you noticed anything significantly different in the referrer traffic to your site? Any new sources or any previously common sources that don’t appear anymore? It may also just be a temporary affect as Google and other search engines adjust to the new URL.
