Moving old account to new account

I just registered with WP but forgot that I had an existing account from quite some time ago. I would like to use the WP address from my old account with my new one. What is the easiest way to do that? I’m assuming just change the old account name, which would make that name available to use with the new one, but wanted to confirm here just in case. Any suggestions?

The best way is to transfer your domain to the new account, you can follow the guide linked below:

Thank you @austinsangs ! Unfortunately, the option to transfer the domain (which is the free site address I registered when I first created the account, not a custom domain) doesn’t appear. The only two options that appear when I click on the domain are:
1) Change site address, and
2) Pick a custom domain.Not sure what to do next.

This actually won’t work. When you change a domain, your old domain is rendered unavailable. What you’ll want to do is to gain access to your old WordPress.com user account and then either use that account, or transfer ownership of the site to your new account using these instructions:
