Moving old website name to wordpress

  Hi my friend has an old website that was hacked and is paying for it annually and he wants to move his name to a WordPress account is this possible and if so how long would it take thanks

  In order to use his domain here on WordPress.com, please refer to the following support page:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Remember to set the primary domain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

  Once it’s set as the primary, if the domain doesn’t load correctly or you see an error, don’t worry. It can take a few hours for your domain name servers (DNS) to update fully.
