Moving one wordpress site into another wordpress site

Hey everyone.

I’m working on two WordPress sites. One is a stand-alone blog, the other is the main site. They have different domains but they’re owned by the same company. I want to move the blog into the other site, so that it looks like domain1.com/blog/ instead of domain1.com and domain2.com. I want all of domain2.com’s URLs to redirect to the proper place on domain1.com. Is it necessary to set up a multisite network or can I just import the files into domain1’s WordPress and do a site redirect? Any thoughts? Thanks so much for your help.

Are the sites hosted here at wordpress.com? The answer for here, and the answer for self-hosted installations is going to be different.

That means you are posting to the wrong support forum and ought to be posting to http://wordpress.org/support/ to get an answer to your question.

What if you want to move one wordpress site into another and they are hosted at wordpress?

I have two and would like to merge them into one. Thanks!
