Moving posts on front page to other pages on your site

I need to move some of my posts from my front page to the archive page that I have created. I’m new to all of this so I am trying to figure it out myself but have not gotten anywhere. Need help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You set the number of posts that display on the front page of your blog here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __postsWe do not move posts into Archives; the software does that for us. When we publish a post the software automatically posts it to the Archives and Categories and Tags pages for us.

My problem is that I have an archives page on my front page and I need to get older article to that page. How do I link them to that once I set my reading to only show 4 or 5 on the front page????

The Archives is a reverse chronological listing of all published posts in the blog. You cannot chnage the order and pick and choose what to display. If your have older posts you want to feature on the forn page there are several ways of doing that. You can mark a post as “sticky” by checking the option that says “Stick this post to the front page” in the Publish settings on any post. Sticky posts are best used for short and temporary notices, so consideration you may want to keep in mind is length of the post. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/02/16/6-easy-ways-to-feature-older-content/

BTW you can place an Archives widget in your sidebar to provide reader access to older posts.
