moving purchased theme to wordpress.org

HI,
I purchased the vagabond theme at a cost of approx £70 in May 2014 on the understanding it was a one-off purchase and could be used by me for as long as I wished. I am now ready to move to self-hosted on wordpress.org and wish to keep my theme but I don’t have a downloaded zip file of it (I wasn’t aware I needed to) – is there a way to move it please? I have asked on the forums and searched but cannot find a definitive answer bar one suggestion it would be lost if I move to .org. Is this right? And if so is there anything I can do with regards to this or a refund on the cost paid of what I thought was a permanent purchase.

You are welcome to use your Premium theme here at WordPress.com for as long as you’d like. It absolutely belongs to you!
Templates for self-hosted WordPress.org sites don’t work in the exact same manner as themes used here at WordPress.com. If you wish to utilize this theme for your new site, you’ll have to download it from the theme developer, or you can find it here:
If you’d like to continue using Vagabond here at WordPress.com, I am more than happy to transfer it to another WordPress.com site. Just let me know the name of the site, and I’ll take action on it asap.
