Moving Search box in Twenty Eleven Theme

  Can you move the search box from the top of the page and put it somewhere else on the page in the twenty eleven theme?

  And if so please let me how.

  I’d like to remove the header and search so the image is at the top of the apge. all suggestions welcome.

  Go to appearance > header and select to “hide text” and the seachbox and the site title and tagline will disappear.

  I’m using WordPress 3.0.3 with the Coraline 1.2 Theme.

  Please explain how to remove the searchbox from the left menu without using the “drag and drop” widgets as they do not remain in place when dragged and dropped.

  If I need to edit any php or css files please state which.

  I’ve spent days on this trying various thing like turning off plugins and removing the entire search.php text etc.

  Thanks in advance for your help.
