Moving select content and comments?

  I found the info on how to transfer content from one blog to the other with the XLS files, but can you pick and choose which posts you want to transfer? We have some redundancy between the two and I don’t want to have duplicate posts.

  Also, I know you can pull just posts or all info. Can I pull just posts and comments without all the other preferences?

  If you’re exporting something that’s already hosted on WordPress and you want to import it to another WordPress account, you can’t select individual posts but you can select individual categories they’re attached to or select a date range. You can always delete duplicate posts easily via the admin area.

  Will current subscribers get email notifications of the old posts or will they just be on the blog? I don’t really want them getting notification of the posts we import.

  No they won’t be notified, they’ll just be on the blog.
