Moving ‘Share’ button and Displaying Author Info
-
New to CSS — I am interested in moving the share button to the top of the posts, also to have to the author name displayed at the top of the post (multi-user blog). I searched through the forums and found: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-of-a-certain-author?replies=5#post-124713
This information is from 2007 — just wondering if anyone had more current info regarding altering author (and share buttons in this case).
I am working with the Coraline theme, with abstracted display of posts on main page.. Tried the following …
}
.entry-info .author-link a {
color:#006699;
display:block;
float:left;
font-weight:bold;
text-decoration:none;
}…Admittedly clueless, and any advice is truly appreciated. I have happily impressed with the forums’ assistance thus far for newbies!

The blog linked to your username has been deleted. We need a link to the blog you are talking about.
Coraline does not display the author’s name in the post metadata and there is no way to force that with CSS. It would require hacking the PHP script files for the theme to do that and we do not have access to those on this multi-user platform.
As far as moving the share buttons, I’m pretty sure that can be done, but I would have to play around with it a little. hallluke could do it easily I’m sure, but I don’t have his level of experience.
