Moving Sidebar Widgets to top of page

With Hemingway Rewritten Theme – can CSS be used to move the location of the sidebar widgets to the top of the page

when viewing in the ‘computer’ viewable mode?

( I’ve already learned how I can used CSS to do this for ‘tablet’ and ‘phone’ viewable mode)

I currently have 3 sidebar widgets and I’d like them to all be viewed across the top of the page as viewed on a computer – I’d like them side by side by side – all 3… left to right. Then below that – the content of the static Home page.

Can CSS do this or am I barking up the wrong tree?

If no – I’m done – if yes – can you point me to a site or tutorial for learning how CSS can do this?

    Thanks,

    SRS

  • The CSS could be complex, but it’s likely possible. It looks like you’d start with what you have, apply it to wider screens (larger than 800px) then work on getting the widgets to go into their own set of columns across the top.

While we don’t offer CSS code here for major layout changes like that, we do have several CSS articles here:

And, the folks at UpWork.com are available for custom development if you need someone to sort out this CSS for you.
