moving site from go-daddy to wordpress

  Hi all,

  I currently have my wordpress website with go daddy who I pay to host. Is it pretty straight forward to transfer to wordpress direct and pay them and if so how, as its seems cheaper going directly then via go daddy, so I basically cut out go daddy and host directly with wordpress.
