Moving Site to WordPress

I currently have a Google blog that is being hosted on a domain I registered at GoDaddy.com I would like to move both the blog and the domain to WordPress. Please help guide me through this process.

I’m selecting one of the blog URLs below because the form will not let me continue otherwise, but I don’t want either of those URLs changed.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Read this very carefully http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ so you know the differences between WordPress.COM free hosted blogs and WordPress.ORG software installs

WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.

We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and not for WordPress.org software installs. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I have a wordpress.com account. I have not started the blog yet because I am wanting to move my current blog (which I started on blogger a few years ago) over to WordPress.com. I have a domain (www.gasportscraze.com) which is expiring with GoDaddy in about a week, and I want to register it with WordPress.

In order to map to a domain which costs $13 per year one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. Then see here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Yeah I saw all that, but this is not answering my questions. Is there any way I can just speak to someone to make it more clear what I’m looking for in terms of help?

WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name registration, you can map the domain name to a blog here using the instructions above, but the domain name needs to not be registered with WordPress.COM

PS – no phone support – just us zombie types in the forum

That still leaves my other question unanswered. My current blog (which was built on Google Blogger) is mapped to that domain. I’d like to have all the content from that blog moved to a WordPress.com site. Is that possible?

Yes. I already posted how to do that above.
