Moving Stats to New Host

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello there!

Could someone please arrange for any stats associated with my account, such as likes, views, subscriptions to be migrated to my self-hosted site.

I’ll wait to hear back before posting more details…

    Kind regards

Chris Barnard (On behalf of the client)

    Hi,

Just to add to this the URL will continue to be the same on a new server.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Could someone be very kind and transfer my stats to my new site.

    Chris

  • Hi @touratzis. Thanks for adding the modlook tag. We’d be happy to transfer your stats for you, but I noticed the old site is still live and accessible. If you’ll make the custom domain primary, your old wordpress.com address will automatically forward to the new site as long as domain maping is active.

    You can do that here:
    https://wordpress.com/my-domains

Once that’s done, let me know and we’ll get the stats merged for you. It just wouldn’t make sense to merge them while the two sites are independently accessible.

Sorry didn’t add the modlock tag?

I’ve made the change – it was switched though to allow access still to the old site.

Thanks so much for your help….

    touratzis–I’ve merged your stats.

What @ supernovia was saying is that having two active sites sharing stats doesn’t work well. So with merged stats, you are better off having your WordPress.com URL forward to your new site (like it is right now)

Let us know if you have any questions about that!
