What is the URL of the self hosted site please and do you have the Jetpack plugin installed on it ?

Now if you want to map the old domain here as well, you can. If you plan on switching to the WordPress.com address when the domain expires, I recommend mapping, but keeping the WordPress.com address as primary. That way we’ll automatically redirect visitors to the correct site while quietly telling search engines the site has moved to the new address.
Or, you can also keep the domain mapped here if you plan on continuing it.
