moving subscribers from wordpress.com to wordpress.org self-hosted domain
-
Hi WordPress!
I’ve a small question. Last weekend, I’ve moved my blog from a wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress.org blog (a .nl domain). I didn’t have a lot of wordpress subscribers yet (working on that, haha!), but I was hoping if you could transfer these wordpress subscribers to my new blog adress. So at least the 6 followers I had can still see my blogposts. ;-) I’ve already installed Jetpack, because in the wordpress.org forum I saw that this is necessary in order to move my followers. I hope you can help me out!
The old adress: twintigennogwat.wordpress.com
The new adress: http://www.twintigennogwat.nlThanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Amy
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here are the complete instructions on how to migrate your followers. If you run into any difficulties, just let us know. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

Hi Kokkieh! Thanks voor your answer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. I’ve connected my self-hosted blog to Jetpack (I can see them both when going to the My blogs page on wordpress.com. Also, I can login to my self-hosted account with my wordpress.com account) and I’ve tried to follow the steps in the subscription migration tool. However, when I go to the ‘Move Followers From A WordPress.com Blog’ section in the manage page, I can’t select the blog that has the followers. Actually, there is just an empty box. I even cannot click on the checkboxes in the jetpack monitor area because the changes I make won’t save. Can you please help me out here?

Some JetPack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the JetPack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
Note: If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there. However, if you can’t find help at either one then you can file a JetPack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

Ofcourse I have a wordpress.org username, because I already have a wordpress.org website. But both wordpress sites (.com and .org) did send me here in order to get some help on this issue. So I would say this is a wordpress issue, not a Jetpack issue.
In all the topics about transferring subscribers to a self-hosted blog WordPress says ‘if it doesn’t work, we will do it for you’, but it seems like it’s (almost) impossible to get in contact with them.

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I just noticed that you have to type support in the search line, only in this way a support request form will appear. I’m sorry for being too fast with responding. Hopefully I’ll get a respons soon. Thanks so much for putting effort in responding to my question (is that a correct sentence in English?)
-
Yes that’s correct English. Staff answer all support requests here and via support forms in order of the timestamps and time stamps- the earliest posted are served first. I have no idea how much of a backlog they have and how long it will take to get a response.

Okay Thanks, that’s good to know. Couldn’t find a contact form, but have found it now. I’ll wait patiently. Thanks so much :)
