Moving Subscribers to Self Hosted WordPress: Need Staff help

Hi,
I’ve been reading threads all morning on moving my subscribers from my wordpress.com site to my new self hosted WordPress site. I have about 49 subscribers I’d like to import. I have installed the jet Pack plugin as recommended by your staff. Please advise. Thank youOld site: http://mealplanningmoms.wordpress.com

Hi jlk9343,
I’ll be happy to help. We can only transfer email subscribers from your WordPress.com blog to your self–hosted blog since the rest of your WP.com followers are following your blog through Reader.
(They can follow your self–hosted blog through WordPress.com Reader by clicking Edit List next to Blogs I Follow.)
If you’d like us to proceed transferring the email subscribers from your old site to new site, please reply to this forum thread.

Excellent, thanks for confirming. I’ve moved the email subscribers as you’ve requested.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Cheers! :-)

Hi,
I have the same problem. I’ve just move my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org self-hosted and I lost my subscribers.
Could you move subscribers for me?
Old site: http://desmadreando.wordpress.com
New site: http://desmadreando.com (http://107.20.147.15/)Do you need more info?
Thanks in advance!

You can view the number of Email Followers that will be transferred on your Stats page by clicking the Blog link under Totals, Followers & Shares.

Hello! I also have switched to a self hosted blog, and would like my followers/subscribers to be transferred.
Old site: thebigrisk.wordpress.com
New site: thebigrisk.comAlso, is it possible to transfer site stats (views, top stories, etc)?
And is there a possibility for me to deactivate the old blog, or stop readers from going there?
How do I get email notification that someone subscribed to my new blog? Some have, and I’m not seeing it.
Thanks so much for your help.

No, I’m afraid not. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You can permanently delete your WordPress.com blog in Tools -> Delete Site in your WordPress.com blog dashboard.
Or, I’d suggest the Site Redirect upgrade to automatically redirect visitors to your new blog (thebigrisk.com)

With Jetpack, we don’t send email notifications when someone subscribes to your blog.

Oh, another question….
My subscription count is still saying “4” even after the transfer. Will that change eventually or not?

Can you let me know where you’re seeing that?
-
In Dashboard, when I click on Site Stats in Jetpack and scroll down to “Subsciptions” at the bottom, I see:
Followers
4 “Blog”
3 “Comments”But when I click on “Blog” it’s showing me all 13 followers. Strange.
Also, when I click on “Comments”, I only see 1 comment. And when I refresh sometimes, I see “0 Comments”.

Ok, that’s probably just the totals catching up, they aren’t generated in real-time.
Do you see any improvement if you clear your browser’s cache?
-
thebigrisk: Hmm, can you take two uncropped screenshots of these screens, then upload them to the Media Library of your WordPress.com blog so I can take a closer look?
