Moving the paypal button to the sidebar

  Hi there,
  I have created a PayPal button following the instructions under Support, and it all works great (thank you!) but now I am trying to move it to the sidebar, and for some reason it’s not working. On the instructions all it says is that you have to enter the code under a text widget. Is that just the code for the paypal button or also the code for the image? I have tried with both, with each one, and I can see the image there if I enter the code for the image there, but it doesn’t link the paypal button. I can see that I am missing something. Your help will be much appreciated.
