Moving the Posted In and Tagged Sections

    Hello,

    I was wondering if there was a way to move the ‘Posted In’ and ‘Tagged’ sections underneath the ‘Leave A Reply’ box after my posts, to improve the ‘Leave A Reply’ box viability and hopefully the participation of users?

    Thanks,

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, first thing I would suggest would be to read through the Frequently Asked Questions section on our Categories vs. Tags support page. In particular I would look at the section toward the bottom that starts out “However, …”

    I would also suggest reading through out WordPress.com blog post on All About SEO on WordPress.com.

    All that said, moving tags and categories below the comments would be problematic since the tags/categories are within the article section and comments are not. That means we have to use position: absolute to move them and they lose their relationship with the other elements on the page. In addition, the categories/tags block can vary in length due to the number of tags and categories, so it is nearly impossible to create the space they will need, because it can vary from post to post.

    If you are worried about that large block of tags and categories keeping people from the comments, you can always hide them with the following CSS. They will still be there, but will simply not be visible for users.

    .hentry footer.entry-meta {
        display: none;
    }
