If you are migrating from a self hosted WordPress.ORG site to WordPress.COM please see: Moving from a Self-Hosted WordPress to WordPress.com
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/ https://en.support.wordpress.com/coming-from-self-hosted/WordPress.com provides free blogs and hosts them free of charge. There are no bandwidth charges. All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. Free features are listed here https://en.wordpress.com/features/

Actually I am wanting to do the opposite. I want to go for my hosted WordPress.com to a free self hosted service.

Hi robinstackpole,
I want to go for my hosted WordPress.com to a free self hosted service.
bakingandbobbins.com is hosted by Bluehost, which means you have a self hosted WordPress.org site rather than a WordPress.com site. The differences between the two are explained here:
bakingandbobbins.com is connected to your WordPress.com account with the Jetpack plugin but it is actually a separate site.
If you’d like to move this site over to WordPress.com and use the Free plan, the steps @timethief linked to will guide you through the process:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
Hosting is included in the Free plan but custom domains are only available through paid plans. In this case, you already own the domain so it would need to be connected to your new WordPress.com site with domain mapping:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Come back to me if you have any questions.
