moving to another domain

I’ve just registered a new domain name with domainsatcost and will no longer being pointing my site the domain I have on file. I’ve tried adding the new domain but am getting a mapping request that has a charge attached. Last year, I recall just adding my domain and my site being pointed to it. Can you please help me do that again. It doesn’t seem to be allowing me.

There is no choice. If you wish to have wordpress.com map from your .wordpress.com to your domain then you have to pay for an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade.
