Moving to Personal Plan

  Hi
  I am on the free dot wordpress plan and wanted to move to my own domain which I do not have as yet. I was looking at the personal plan however the site URL just stays the same and I cannot have my own custom domain? I can only get that with the Premium plan? Am i doing something wrong?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  With the Personal plan, the first item listed here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ is custom domain name, so yes, you can have a custom domain name on the personal plan.

  Thanks. I got my domain however it doesn’t come up on google search when I search for it but then the dot wordpress link redirects to it? Can you help?

  Hi, I checked and everything seems to be coming along. It can take 24 to as much as 72 hours for a new domain name to propagate around to all the nameservers around the world, but generally it is about 24 or less.

  And yes, your WordPress.com url will redirect to your newly purchased domain name.

  It could take a while before Google catches up with things and has your URL, but all links to your WordPress.com url will redirect.
