Moving to self hosted WordPress blog

  Hey all,

  I am thinking to move to self-hosted wordpress blog where I can use my own design & show ads. Will moving affect on traffic? I am currently using my own domain name & will be using the same domain on self-hosted blog.

  Moving WILL effect traffic and pagerank, domain upgrade or not. You’re going to be instantly dropped from the global tag and category pages here, and they are a major source of SEO for our blogs. It will take you two to four months to make up the rank, in my experience, and then you will get the search engine readers back. You may want to linkbait once you move.

  Thanks rain, do you have any suggestions for linkbait? Is there any good site where I will get links to exchange.
