Moving to Slef Hosted Platform Using Bluehost, if you already own a domain

  I have a blog hosted at wordpress.com. Later I went ahead and purchased a domain from WordPress.com. Now after around 3 months, now I am moving to a self hosted platform, through bluehost. As per their technical support, I installed wordpress on a temporary URL first. Later they asked me to change the name server of my domain that I had bought from wordpress.com, to bluehost. I did the same around 36 hours ago. According to Bluehost, once the domain propagation is over, the content that I imported from my old blog to their temporary URL shall become available to the Domain I own.
  But until now I do not see any change. I have set my old blog to private. Could someone please advise me in this regard? How much time does Domain Propagation take? Any way I can check the status of it?

  http://www.monsoonbreeze123.com/ – Loads to a WordPress.ORG install, not a WordPress.COM blog for me

  It takes up to 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate – access will be erratic during that time and you will be the last one to see the changes – try clearing your browser cache & forcing a page reload

  I tried clearing the cache, but still when i click on this link http://www.monsoonbreeze123.com/wp-login.php it automatically redirects to https://monsoonbreeze.wordpress.com/wp-login.php

  Could this be because the propagation is not over yet?

  Could be propagation, caching somewhere – – just takes a bit of time and you will be the last one to see the change – I have moved several domains – in some cases I called a friend a mile away to check the changes and he went to the new site and it was the next day before I could get to the new site – sorry just the way it works

  Usually I suggest someone take a long walk and get a cup of whatever your favorite hot beverage is

  hopefully this gets sorted out soon while I come back from my long walk :)
  I have already set my blog on wordpress.com to private. So now already some have started asking me where has your blog disappeared !
  So now waiting to get the issue sorted out soon so that I could work on the blog :)

  Now that is sorted out. But new issue is though I see all my posts from my old blog that I imported to self hosted space, all their URLs have changed. So I am not able to get those posts while clicking on their links which were there on other forums social media etc.
  How can I correct this issue?

  You will have to change the permalink structure at your new blog so that it is the same as the structure at your WP.com one.

  That’s a question for WordPress.org’s forums. You can change the permalink structure on a WP.org blog, not a WP.com one.
