Moving to WordPress

I’ve looked through your forum support but I haven’t found what I’m looking for. We have a website/domain already, but we are very displeased with the support we get, and the cost seems excessive too.

    Question #1
Can WordPress import all of our older forum content when we move our domain to you?

    Question #2
Why would we/wouldn’t we want to move our domain from the current registrar?

    Question #3
Apparently our provider hasn’t been updating code or security for us, and the website is so old that we cannot edit it anymore. When we move it to wordpress are all of the background issues like this automatically addressed?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  • Hi there – Great starter questions. I actually have one of my own questions which should help the staff here answer your questions a bit more accurately.

Q: Is your current site using WordPress, or is it not? It sounds like it is not, but I want to be sure.

Something I recommend: reach out to our internal team which specializes in answering your questions, and more. They focus on helping sites just like yours move into WordPress on our platform here at WordPress.com. If you complete the form at the link below, they’ll reach back to you right away.

If support and cost are your primary concerns, you’ve arrived at a very good place here with us. We look forward to continuing to help you with this.
