Moving to wordpress.com for businesses

    Please advise if my current subscribers will come to my new site and if there is support uploading ads?

    Hi there, you don’t say where your current site is hosted, but if it is a standalone WP (org) install, you can follow this guide to migrate your content: https://en.support.wordpress.com/coming-from-self-hosted/

    If your subscribers were following your site through the Jetpack plugin Subscriptions module, it’s possible that you can port them over, but I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

    Concerning uploading ads, WordPressdotcom Business plan sites are immediately eligible for the WordAds program. However, no other ad program can be used on WordPressdotcom.     Hi there,

    It’s not possible to accurately answer you without knowing which sites you’re talking about, so can you please provide that information?

    If you mean that you want to upgrade your existing free site to the Business Plan, there is no need to move your subscribers in that case. Upgrade plans are applied to your existing site, and absolutely nothing is moved in the process. Your subscribers won’t even notice you’ve upgraded unless you do something like add CSS changes or a custom domain.
