  • Hi,

You have a couple of options to transfer to a WordPress.org site.

    1. We can take care of it for you via our Guided Transfer upgrade.
    2. You can do it yourself using our guide here: Moving a Blog

For option 2, you will need to re-configure your theme, widgets, etc to your liking, as well as change your nameservers/DNS according to your new hosts instructions.

In short, it’s totally do-able yourself, though it get a little technical with the domain name.

Regarding your upgrades, you would continue to pay for domain registration for cryshellmagic.com via WordPress.com since we are the registrar for your host. The remainder of your Premium upgrade is not very usable with WordPress.org, with the exception of the VideoPress upgrade. If you’re wishing to use VideoPress, it does work out cheaper to keep Premium and use the domain, VideoPress and the space upgrade together. If you’re not planning on using VideoPress, it would make sense for to let that expire.

If you have any additional questions or need anything else, please let me know.
