Moving to wordpress.org

Ok maybe im missing the point in the previously posted guides on moving my blog. But i have a wordpress.com blgo with a registered domain bought directly through wordpress.com and i wanna move to wordpress.org now can this be done using the domain i already bought or do i need to buy something else hosting wise???

Yes, when you get your hosting and get your account set up the host will provide you with the DNS settings so that your domain name can be pointed at their servers. Once you get that, you can go into your domain management here and change the DNS records. It will take anywhere from a few hours to as much as 72 for the DNS change to propagate through all the nameservers on the internet, but typically it is less than 24. How soon you will see the change will depend on how often your ISP updates their nameservers.

The problem i see if that i cnt seem to see any ftp style interface on the hosting service that wordpress.com gives u when u buy the domain or am i missing something?

Did you or did you not find a hosting provider for your new blog that runs under WordPress.org?
