Moving to WordPress.org with a your WordPress.com Account

Yea I considered that but right now I think it is properly setup….I have a DB_NAME, DB_USER, and DB_PASSWORD setup and then I have the DB_HOST set to localhost…everything else is at default settings…unless there is something else I overlooked in tutorials that I need to adjust upon install? Not sure…I posted my concerns on .ORG but if you have any other advice on editing my wp-config.php file I’d love to try anything out.
Right now I am editing the wp-config.php via ftp…is that correct?

If you don’t get a timely response from thesacredpath, I suggest you ask at http://wordpress.org/support/ as he initially offered.

I have, I don’t understand why they completely missed my point when they responded, they just reiterated what I stated was my issue twice now. I will most likely have to send another support request to see if this time they actually read my email and offer assistance. Thanks!

The support at WordPress.org isn’t like the support here. You can’t just email with a problem. Your best bet is looking in the forums over there. Someone else may have gone through the same thing and have some suggestions.

I know that, I have been doing both because support takes way too long…but even they can’t answer me yet. And right now I’m trying a few things on the feedback from the forums I am going through. I just really don’t understand how this isn’t an obvious solution as I have seen quite a few people with the same issue and either no one responds or there is no closure…but I am still tryin

OK, try this again. Log out of wordpress.COM. Clear your browser cache, history, cookies, and if you have bookmarked your wordpress.COM website, delete that link in your bookmarks. Restart your browser.
Now, before doing anything else, put this link into your browser address bar:
http://www.followsydney.com/wp-login.php
Right now that is showing up as a login link to your NEW blog, not your .COM blog. Do NOT use the link in the meta widget on the sidebar of your site.

@followsydney
I’m sad to say that the reality is that you may not get answers to your questions at wordpress.org for days, weeks, months and in some cases you may not get answers at all. The bottom line for us Volunteers here ate wordpress.com is we cannot start providing support for wordpress.ORG bloggers because if we do then they come back time and time again and others join them. -
@followsydney, what operating system are you on? Windows XP, Vista, 7, or on Mac or Linux or…?
