moving to WP for hosting
-
Hello,
I’m confused about the .ie address issue.
I was thinking to buy the €96 yearly subscription.
1. Does this give me hosting?
2. Does this give me wordpress technology access.
3. Should I change my address to .com or is .ie fine?
Thanks

Hello there @empiano88!
Thank you for reaching out about this.
I was thinking to buy the €96 yearly subscription.
1. Does this give me hosting?
2. Does this give me wordpress technology access.
3. Should I change my address to .com or is .ie fine? The plan that you’ve asked about, is currently the Premium plan. This is a hosting plan, yes, and WordPress is preinstalled on any new site you start, once logged in to your WordPress.com account dashboard.
At present, you are able to connect your domain, nlfireland.ie, here at WordPress.com, which you’ve already done, and that is great! You can see the domains which you are able to be registered or transferred in, listed here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/If you would like to move the domain, nlfireland.ie, from one site to another site in your account, you can follow the guide outlined here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/move-a-domain-to-another-wordpress-com-site/Using .com or .ie is entirely up to you, however, we can support you here with either one!
I hope this has been helpful, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
