moving/ tranfers stats

  Hello!

  Is it possible to move the stats from my other/older blog to my new one?

  I import all the content, but the stats is starting from 0 and I wonder if it is a way to do that.

  Hello there!

  I only see one blog affiliated with this user account. Could you give me more information: What is the name/user account for the older site? And the newer one? Are both sites hosted here at WordPress.com, or is on self-hosted on an outside server? Are you the administrator of both sites?

  The both blog’s are mine (I’m the administrator for both of them), they are both self-hosted in WordPress.com, but with different usernames.

  They are ‘copy-past’ from the older to the new one because I wanted to change de url (and name, of course), but the content is the exact same.

  They are ‘copy-past’ from the older to the new one because I wanted to change de url (and name, of course), but the content is the exact same.

  This is what will make the issue troublesome. While I could merge one site’s stats into another, stats are connected to post IDs. If you have exported your posts from one site, and imported them into the new site, your post IDs would remain the same. Because of this, the stats would move.

  However, when you copied/pasted, you created brand new post IDs, which don’t match with the old site’s stats. Therefore, the merge isn’t possible.

  But, don’t give up hope :) I have an idea.

  If you would like, you can export the old posts from your old site:

  Export your website’s content

  Then, you can import these posts into the new site:

  Import a Website

  You will have to delete the copied/pasted versions, or you’ll appear to have duplicates.

  Once that’s done, it is possible to merge the stats from your old site into the new.
